MøS v1.0 by DecayStudios is a powerful yet intuitive Max for Live audio effect that transforms mono signals into wide, immersive soundscapes using a unique pseudo mid/side processing approach. The effect can range from subtle enhancement to dramatic stereo expansion.

Unlike traditional M/S encoding, MøS creates width by duplicating your mono input into three paths:

A centered Mid

Left and Right Side signals — one phase-inverted and both delayed by a user-defined amount

These elements are blended using a responsive XY pad, giving you direct control over M/S Ratio and Width. The built-in waveform display provides instant visual feedback, and dedicated mute switches for Mid and Side channels allow for focused adjustments.

Less percussive sounds respond well to wider settings, while transient-rich material benefits from a more subtle touch — making MøS ideal for everything from lush synths and ambient textures to vocals and guitars.
